Headlines calling Epstein-Barr the “everything virus” lump together strong, direct evidence for multiple sclerosis and certain cancers with weaker, more preliminary evidence for other autoimmune conditions. Why This Matters Going Forward
Because nearly everyone carries the virus, figuring out why only some infected people get sick is genuinely hard.
